SBI Associate Banks Announced Clerk Recruitment For 7700 Posts


State Bank of India(SBI) clerk recruitment has been announced.Though the posts are in SBI associate banks, they are still a part of the State bank group.State Bank of India is India`s largest public sector bank with administrative office in Mumbai.As part of the 2012 recruitment project, the 5 associate banks have come together to fill clerical level posts.The SBI group does not come under the common exam process & conducts separate tests for their recruitment's.So even if you have not appeared for the IBPS exam it does not matter & can apply for this SBI associate banks clerk recruitment 2012.


Position: Clerk – 7740 posts
Breakup of vacancies


    * State bank of Bikaner & Jaipur (SBBJ) - 1400
    * State bank of Hyderabad (SBH) – 1880
    * State bank of Mysore (SBM) - 800
    * State bank of Travancore (SBT) - 2500
    * State bank of Patiala (SBP) – 1160


The scale of pay shall be Rs.7200 – 19300 with an approx. monthly salary of Rs.14200 in a metro city (could vary slightly based on posting location).


Important Dates:
Online registration of applications: July 30 to August 13, 2012
Pay fees from Aug 1 to 17, 2012
Written examination: Oct 7 & 14, 2012


Am I Eligible?


Pay attention to the conditions specified by the bank before you proceed to apply as you will need provide proofs at the time of interviews.


* Age to be within 18 - 28 years, as on 1.08.2012 (+5yrs for sc/st & +3 for obc)
* Must have _60% marks in 12th std /(55% for obc/st/st/pwd)/ OR Pass in degree from a recognized university as on August 1, 2012
* Fluency in english (able to write/ speak) is required.
* Knowledge of local language is desired but not compulsory
* some questions will be asked in local lang during personal interview


The probation period for clerical cadre employees is 6 months & their performance will be evaluated by the end.The period would be extended if you fail to meet bank`s expectations.


Selection procedure:


As part of the SBI associate bank`s recruitment process Written test & Interview are to be conducted.The written test consists only of Objective type questions under the sections,
General awareness, General english, Quantitative aptitude, Reasoning & Marketing aptitude/ Computer Knowledge.While the bank shall decide qualifying marks, registrants must pass in
each section.For every wrong answer – 0.25 would be reduced as negative mark
For the purpose of holding interviews, candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:3 based on the minimum score fixed.


How to apply:


Fees can be paid through i) Online payment OR ii) SBI branches.Whatever be the method you choose, first submit the online application available at sbi.co.in & submit the particulars.A fee payment challan will be generated that has to be used for fee payments.From the 2nd day of registering fees can paid at any SBI branches,within 3 working days.The application fee is Rs.50 (SC/ST/PWD/XS) & Rs.350 (all others).A confirmation message for application registration will be sent by email/sms after 3 days following which you can reprint the application form by logging in again.For online payment, applicants can use their debit/ credit cards right after submitting the application by making use of an integrated payment gateway.
